Elderly man with dementia missing after shopping trip in Swindon

Wiltshire Police is urgently appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of an elderly man who is missing from the Swindon area.

Barry, 82, went missing yesterday afternoon around 2.30pm during a shopping trip on Ocotal Way.

Officers are “extremely concerned about his welfare”.

Barry has health conditions including Parkinson’s, dementia and hearing loss.

He is described as a white man, 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build with greyish hair.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, dark blue sketchers, a dark ¾ length jacket, and a medical face mask.

The National Police Air Service helicopter was over Swindon last night, thought to be involved in the urgent search for the Barry.
