It’s claimed the men attacked a 28-year-old man in Foghamshire, off The Bridge in Chippenham town centre, in the early hours of 23 January last year.

At the time, it was documented that the victim – who lives locally – sustained significant injuries – including a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain.

Hall, of Tellcroft Close, Corsham, and Gal, of Larkham Rise, Chippenham, will appear at Swindon Crown Court on 31 March for a plea and trial preparation hearing. They were released on unconditional bail.

If convicted, grievous bodily harm with intent carries a maximum sentence of up to life imprisonment.
