Driver arrested for being three times drink drive limit after Thamesdown Drive crash

A drink driver was arrested after their car lost control and crashed in Swindon.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Thamesdown Drive last night (8 May).

The driver is alleged to have provided a sample of breath at the roadside measuring 121 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

That’s more than three times the drink drive limit of 35 microgrammes.

The driver was arrested and remains in custody.

No other vehicles were involved, but the suspect’s own car sustained extensive damage.
