A 77-year-old man has had his disability scooter stolen from outside social club in Salisbury.

The local chap has parked his black scooter outside the Castle Street Social Club on 25 March, and when he returned his scooter was missing.

The victim who relies on his scooter to get around was understandably upset and reported the theft to us.

Fortunately later that evening (approximately 10:15 pm) officers received a call from a member of the public who had seen three young men with a mobility scooter in St Nicholas’ road. The suspects who were all wearing dark clothing ran off when challenged leaving the scooter behind.

Officers were able to return the scooter to the very grateful owner.

PC Ben Foster from Salisbury Community Policing Team would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who has any information which might assist the investigation.

Please call PC Foster on 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 where details may be left anonymously.
