Detectives launch probe after ‘armed suspects’ enter Swindon house

Wiltshire Police is investigating after a serious incident at a house in Swindon.

It’s believed armed suspects entered an address in Albany Close, Park North, at approximately 4.30am on Saturday morning (28 October).

Detectives from Swindon CID were making door-to-door enquiries and requesting CCTV or doorbell footage from local residents today (Sunday).

The incident is being probed as an aggravated burglary, which means one or more people carried out a burglary whilst armed with a weapon.

Further details are not yet known – including whether anyone was injured. Forensic investigators were at the location, gathering vital evidence from the scene.

Wiltshire Police is asking anyone with information to call 101 and quote log 60 of 28 October.
