Emergency services called to crash involving motorcyclist in Swindon

Emergency services are currently attending a crash in Swindon.

There are severe traffic delays on Hobley Drive in Stratton as police and ambulance respond to a road traffic collision outside the entrance to the Home Bargains’ car park.

It’s believed to have happened shortly after 4.30pm, with the road blocked both ways.

A car is understood to have pulled onto Hobley Drive, colliding with a motorcyclist who is being treated in the road.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We received reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Hobley Drive, Stratton St Margaret, Swindon at about 4.40pm today (09/04) involving a moped and a car.

“The moped rider sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics.

“There have been no arrests or road closures at time of writing.”
