Deer found near Swindon may have been shot – police launch investigation

Wiltshire Police has launched an investigation after a deer was found dead near Swindon.

The roe deer was located in an industrial estate off Thornhill Road, South Marston, on Sunday 5 June.

Officers from the Rural Crime Unit say it suffered a wound which appeared to have left an air rifle pellet in its stomach – possible causing its death.
