Young girl, 11, suffers serious injuries after being hit by car in Swindon

A 11-year-old girl has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in Swindon.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene on Meadowcroft, Stratton, at around 2pm this afternoon to provide critical care to the patient who’s thought to have a head injury.

She’s been taken to Southmead Hospital, a Major Trauma Centre, by land ambulance.

999 CREWS AT THE SCENE – THE ROAD IS CLOSED

A cordon is in place between Shakespeare Path and Derwent Drive while a collision investigation is carried out. It’s expected to remain closed for several hours.
