The defendant, whose last recorded address was Victoria Avenue, Redfield, Bristol, is accused of shoplifting two “luxury turkeys” from Iceland Foods in Swindon.

The court heard that the case had been adjourned in her absence on more than one previous occasion and a previous warrant had been withdrawn in February this year.

Tom Power, prosecuting, asked the bench to issue a warrant for Young’s arrest without bail in order to locate the accused get her before the court “sooner rather than later”.

A warrant was issued. The police will now be tasked with finding the defendant, arresting her and putting her before the court at the next available opportunity.
