Cops search for robbery suspects as £60 stolen from victim in central Swindon

At least twelve police officers attended the scene

A dozen police officers were involved in a search for a criminal trio in central Swindon last night.

A man was approached by three men at around at around 10.30pm on Sunday, and was threatened before having £60 stolen in the scary street robbery.

A door was destroyed in the incident

At least six police vehicles were at the scene in Gladstone Street, near the Tap and Barrel pub, as other units patrolled the Broadgreen area in search of the offenders.

Despite the large police response, no one’s been arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police told Wiltshire 999s: “The victim did not require hospital treatment and did not want to engage with police.


“Our enquiries are continuing and anyone with information should call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference 54200037260.

“Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
