Contents of drugs factory found fly-tipped on country lane

A cannabis factory has been discovered in Devizes.

But, the drugs bust wasn’t made when police officers carried out a raid. 27 cannabis plants were found fly-tipped in leafy Broadway, Market Lavington.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police posted on social media: “Has anyone noticed their greenhouse or conservatory a little less leafy over the past week?

“If you are missing some plants (approximately 27, so quite a few) we’d love to hear from you… we won’t be able to reunite you but nonetheless I’m sure we could discuss the ins and outs of fly tipping and well, cultivating a class B drug.”

Earlier in the week we were notified that some fly-tipping had occurred near Broadway, Market Lavington, and police were very surprised to find the strongly smelling cannabis plants which had been dumped for reasons unknown.

If you have any information relating to these green-fingered antics please give Wiltshire Police a call on 101 quoting reference number: 13861.
