Colerne man, 21, accused of possessing indecent images of children and ‘dog porn’

A Wiltshire man is accused of possessing indecent images of children and ‘dog porn’.

Kieran Philip Lee, 21, appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (30 March).

The defendant, of Larch Road, North Colerne, near Chippenham, is accused of possessing 40 indecent images of children – ranging from category A to B.

Category A images involve penetrative sexual activity with children and category B images involve non-penetrative sexual activity with children.

Natalie Cheeseman, prosecuting, said the case was “too serious” to be dealt with by magistrates.

According to the sentencing guidelines, just a single category A image could fetch a prison term of up to three years, she told the court.

Terry McCarthy said his client does not wish to indicate a plea at this stage.

The case was sent to Swindon Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
