Child hit by car on zebra crossing outside primary school in Trowbridge

A child’s been hit by a car outside a primary school in Trowbridge this afternoon.

The young boy was struck by a Mazda RX8 at around 3pm as pupils left Newtown Community Primary School in Newtown. It’s thought to have happened on the zebra crossing.

The child has been taken to Royal United Hospital for treatment.
