Casualty flown to Southampton following serious collision on A36

The air Ambulance landed at the scene of a serious collision this afternoon.

Critical care medics responded the emergency on the A36 at Heytesbury, Warminster, alongside police, ambulance and fire teams.

Three people were injured in the crash; one of which was flown to Southampton Hospital by Wiltshire Air Ambulance suffering broken arm and femur.

Firefighters from Warminster and Westbury released two casualties from a five-door blue Vauxhall Vectra using hydraulic cutting equipment.

The A36 was closed in both directions between the Cotley Hill roundabout and the Crockerton roundabout where it meets the A350 for around three hours.
