BREAKING: Salisbury street EVACUATED by police officers amid ‘suspicious package’ fears

Milford Street in Salisbury has been evacuated by police after a suspicious package was found.

Emergency services were called to an address at around 10.15am today, and as a precaution, cordoned off Milford Street while they deal with the ongoing incident.

Despite earlier reports, it’s not believed to be an explosive device, but a substance.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police commented: “We do not believe this is linked to Operation Fairline (Salisbury poisonings). We are advising motorists to avoid the city centre area and to consider using alternative routes.”
