Boy, 12, rushed to hospital with serious injuries after park incident

A boy has been rushed to hospital following an incident at a play park in Salisbury.

Emergency services were called to a medical emergency Castle Hill Country Park in Bishopdown at around 3pm this afternoon (Thursday).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance, two ambulance crews and a paramedic officer were in attendance alongside numerous police officers who provided support to medics.

A 12-year-old boy – who reportedly fell from some play equipment – sustained serious injuries and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital for further treatment.

The Children’s Air Ambulance landed on the hospital site around one hour after the incident but did not transport a patient; it’s not clear if it was linked.
