Forensics investigate as body of man found in The Parade off Marlborough high street

A man in his 20s was found dead on The Parade in Marlborough over the weekend.

Police officers were called to the scene at around 7.30am on Sunday morning, following a 999 call from a member of the public who discovered his body just off the high street.

Forensic officers attended the scene at around 9am, conducting an investigation into the death which resulted in the area being cordoned off as a crime scene until around midday.

Just before 11am, the man’s body was loaded into a private ambulance.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.30am on Sunday 27 May following a report from a member of the public that a male had been found deceased in The Parade, Marlborough.

“Officers arrived at the scene and found a man in his 20s deceased.

“The incident is believed to be non-suspicious and our enquiries are on-going.”

His next of kin have been informed.
