Biker injured in Chippenham crash as man reported for dangerous driving

A biker was injured in a crash on a busy route in Chippenham on Saturday (30 September).

Emergency services rushed to Bumpers Farm Roundabout on the A350 following reports of a road traffic collision at shortly after 6pm.

The incident involved a car and a silver Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The biker, a man aged in his 50s, sustained significant leg injuries and was taken to hospital. His injuries aren’t said to be life-threatening.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service sent a crew from Chippenham to the crash – with firefighters making the scene safe and assisting paramedics for an hour.

Wiltshire Police said that the driver of the car involved, a man aged in his 70s, was reported to court for the offence of dangerous driving.
