Ashwani Kumar, 54, charged over vandalism of cenotaph in Swindon

A man from Swindon has been charged following vandalism at the cenotaph in Swindon.

The incident happened during the early hours of Saturday 12 January, where poppy wreaths were taken from the memorial and strew across the ground far from the cenotaph.

Kumar, 54, of no fixed address, Swindon, has been remanded in custody charged with outraging public decency. He is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court tomorrow.
