Arrests made by detectives probing shooting of teenage boy in Swindon

Two people have been arrested following the shooting of a teenager in Swindon.

A 17-year-old boy sustained significant injuries in an attack at an address in Odstock Road, Penhill, in the early hours of this morning (Monday).

Detectives have launched a major investigation into events that unfolded, arresting two people so far.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm. He is currently in police custody for questioning.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life/enable another to endanger life. He has since been released and faces no further action.
