Armed police storm Swindon house after woman attacked by dog

Armed police stormed a house in Swindon following a dog attack on Wednesday (30 August).

Firearms officers were spotted entering a property in Montagu Street, Rodbourne, after they rushed to reports of a woman being injured at around 5pm.

The woman, who was with her dog at the time, was reportedly bitten by a dog the street – said to be dangerously out of control.

The woman sustained minor injuries in the ordeal, with armed police later seizing the dog involved and another at the same address.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that the dogs are “being kept in police kennels while investigations are carried out”.
