Air ambulance scrambled after worker ‘falls from ladder’ on building site

An air ambulance was scrambled when a worker ‘fell from a ladder’ on a building site.

Paramedics rushed to the scene off Shrivenham Road, Swindon, at around midday on Friday (20 January).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed in the BMW Plant car park off Bridge End Road before the charity’s critical care medics were conveyed to the scene in an ambulance car.

A construction worker is believed to have fallen from a ladder whilst working on the Stratton Villas development.

An ambulance and two ambulance rapid response vehicles were also in attendance.

They were conveyed to hospital with injuries by land ambulance. Their condition is not known at this time.
