Air ambulance medics treat 18-year-old victim after stabbing in Swindon

A young man was stabbed in his buttock in Swindon on Tuesday morning.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed in Meadowcroft Playing Fields having been deployed to the serious incident in Upper Stratton at around 0.20am.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, sustained a stab wound to his buttock and minor injuries – believed to be slice wounds – to his arm.

Having been treated by critical care medics and local ambulance crews at the scene in Burns Way, he was taken to Great Western Hospital for further treatment.

He has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.

Wiltshire Police has confirmed no arrests have been made at this stage, but their investigation is ongoing.
