Air ambulance medics attend serious house fire in Trowbridge

Firefighters are currently tackling a serious house fire in Trowbridge.

Emergency services – including five fire appliances – are attending the scene Newtown, which is now closed in both directions between Stallard Street and Frome Road.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance teams arrived at the incident in two separate critical care-branded cars at around 7.45pm, our photographer at the scene has confirmed.

Despite the ambulance response, no one was seriously hurt in the blaze. A neighbour is understood to have rescued a 90-year-old woman from the fire.
