A large section of the field has been cordoned off as a crime scene, with officers guarding the area.

A number of local residents have reported that the incident was a stabbing, however this has not yet been confirmed.

‘There was a kid in the field seriously hurt. Police have taped the whole field off and are stopping people getting through, looks like a stabbing’, one man said.

Another claimed ‘it’s a stabbing police are turning people away who are not witnesses’.

Alongside the other emergency vehicles at the incident was a single fire engine.
