Air ambulance lands on Great Western Way verge for serious incident

An air ambulance landed on the verge alongside Great Western Way this afternoon (Tuesday).

It’s after paramedics rushed to a serious medical emergency in Caulfield Road, Gorse Hill, at 4.15pm.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was tasked with providing critical care at the scene – within a private address.

The helicopter pilot touched down on the verge of Great Western Way, just metres from the McDonald’s exit slip road near Transfer Bridges.

Wiltshire Police and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the incident.

The condition of the casualty is unknown at this time.
