Wiltshire Air Ambulance lands at scene for serious crash on A30 near Salisbury

Emergency services are currently attending a road traffic collision near Salisbury. 

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was among the 999 crews tasked to the serious incident on the A30 at around 11.30am this morning (Thursday, 15 September).

The crash happened near or on the junction with Old Malthouse Lane – though further details are not yet known.

It’s not clear if anyone’s been seriously hurt at this early stage.

The road is blocked in both directions between St Thomas Bridge Roundabout and the junction with Firs Road.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that the A30 is currently closed near the Pitton junction following a serious road traffic collision.

“Closure are expected to be in place for some hours to allow emergency services to attend the scene.

“Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes. Thank you for your patience.”
