Air ambulance called to crash as biker injured outside A4 petrol station

An air ambulance was called to a crash after a biker was injured this afternoon (Tuesday).

Emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A4 Bath Road at Box just before 4pm.

A white Kia Sportage and a white Suzuki motorcycle were involved in the smash outside the Shell garage and Budgens store on the busy West Wiltshire route.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance attended the incident in a helicopter and a critical care car, where they treated a male biker age in his 50s for his wounds.

Though, Wiltshire Police has confirmed that the injuries weren’t as serious as first thought. The casualty will be taken to hospital for further treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage, is asked to contact the force by calling 101 and quoting log 177 of today’s date (31 January).
