A429 partially blocked after car ploughs into farm wall near Malmesbury

The A429 is partially blocked following a road traffic collision this morning (Saturday).

Police were called to the incident near the Grange Lane junction, just south of Malmesbury, at around 9.30am.

A grey Saab impacted a farm’s boundary wall, demolishing some of the brickwork after being hit by a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

Nobody’s believed to have been injured in the crash and the cause is currently unclear.

Police have requested a recovery firm to remove the vehicle from the highway. In the meantime, motorists are being directed past the scene and there are some minor delays.

The road may be closed for a short time to allow for recovery work. The route’s expected to be clear by around 11am.
