A4 blocked as Wiltshire Air Ambulance lands for crash on crossroads

The A4 is blocked in both directions after a road traffic collision east of Marlborough.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed at the scene near Froxfield at around 10.20am this morning (20 September).

A car and a motorcyclist are involved, with all three emergency services in attendance.

It’s understood the collision occurred on the A4 crossroads east of The Palm Indian restaurant, a junction with links the main road with Rudge (north) and Chisbury (south).

The busy road, the main route between Marlborough and Hungerford, could be closed for some time.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service say they have one crew at the scene, with firefighters carrying out scene safety.
