78-year-old motorcyclist DIES in serious crash involving lorry in Ashton Keynes

A motorcyclist’s died after colliding with a lorry in north Wiltshire yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Fridays Ham Lane at 3.10pm on Friday, following a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a lorry near Rixon Gate.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed at the incident at approximately 3.30pm.

The motorcyclist, a 78-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.

The road was closed for a number of hours while collision investigation work took place and reopened at 7.45pm last night.
