A homeless man’s body has been discovered in a tent near Swindon College this morning.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene – a wooded area behind the football pitches on North Star Avenue – at around 11.20am today.
Three detectives from Swindon CID arrived at the scene just after midday, along with two crime scene investigators. A forensic tent was erected over the scene.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called by the ambulance service to a report that a male had been found deceased in grounds at Swindon College at 11.20am today.
“The death of the man, aged in his 30s, is not believed to be suspicious and his next of kin have been informed.”
