Woman’s plea after puppy attacked near Bradford on Avon

A woman is asking the owner of a dog that attacked her five-month-old puppy while walking in Great Chalfield near Bradford on Avon to come forward.

Emily Grey has offered the dog owner a chance to get in touch with her and pay the £86 in veterinary bills incurred following the incident earlier today, Monday 20 February.

The violent attack, carried out by a Border Collie, saw Emily’s puppy ‘pinned the the floor crying’ while the owner attempted recall – which failed.

She says that she has the dog owner’s car registration details and will be reporting the incident the police if she doesn’t come forward within 12 hours.

Emily said: “I think she probably just panicked but she saw exactly what was happening. I ran over to get my puppy as he was pinned to the floor crying…

“She was calling the dog when I said you need to keep your dog on a lead she said she doesn’t need to be she put it on a lead & walked off with it very quickly then dissapeared (sic) luckily a woman was just entering the field and come over to make sure we were ok she said she saw everything and gave me her contact details.”
