Boy, 10, taken to John Radcliffe Hospital after being hit by car in Wanborough

A 10-year-old boy has been hit by a car in Wanborough last night.

Emergency services, including Wiltshire Air Ambulance and a Paramedic Officer from South Western Ambulance Service, attended the scene on High Street at just after 5pm on Wednesday.

It happened outside The Plough public house, and the nearby Brewers Arms offered the use of their car park to local residents who were unable to drive to their homes while the incident was ongoing.

The child casualty was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by land ambulance, but the exact nature of his injuries are unknown at this time.

The road reopened at around 7.30pm.
