Young man’s body discovered in village near Salisbury early this morning

The body of a man in his 20s was found in Salisbury this morning.

He was found deceased in a wooded area off Mill Lane, Stratford-sub-Castle at around 7am.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called by ambulance at just before 7am today to attend a report of a sudden death of a man in his 20s in the Mill Lane area of Stratford-sub-castle.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances in relation to the death.

“Next of kin have been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”

The death is not linked to the major incident in Salisbury city centre, police have confirmed.
