70 firefighters tackle major fire involving two thatched cottages near Andover

Firefighters from Hampshire and Wiltshire are currently tacking a major fire near Andover.

Emergency services were called the the blaze, involving two thatched cottages in the village of Monxton, at around 7.30pm tonight, Saturday 3 March.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue has sent two fire crews from Amesbury, one crew from Wilton and a water carrier Pewsey to assist at the scene.

South Central Ambulance Service say nobody was hurt in the fire.
