Emergency service descend on Sainsbury’s car park after crash

Emergency services have descended on a Sainsbury’s car park this evening (Friday).

999 crews raced to the supermarket in Melksham at around 7pm following reports of a crash.

At the height of the incident, two fire crews, several police units and an ambulance were on scene.

A small black car appear to have been involved in the road traffic collision with minor front-end damage, with firefighters helping to extricate a casualty from it.

The entrance to the car park was blocked by a fire engine until around 8.15pm, when it was moved. The incident was over by 9pm.

It’s not yet clear if anyone’s been injured or if any arrests were made in connection with the incident.

Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
