Naked man ‘spends time in pony’s stable’ as police launch probe

Police have launched a probe after a naked man ‘spent time in a pony’s stable’.

It’s claimed the suspect entered the building on a farm in Whaddon Lane, near Trowbridge, at around 6.30pm yesterday evening (Wednesday, 24 January).

CCTV first captured the man going into the stable in boxer shorts and a top. However, on emerging approximately 15 minutes later, he was no longer in boxer shorts.

Within the stable was a small pony, which the owner says was swabbed for DNA by a vet.

It’s thought the suspect may have engaged in sexual activity with the animal.

Police swarmed the countryside near Hilperton and carried out urgent searches with support of a drone and dog – but nobody was located.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said that officers responded to “a report of a suspicious incident at a farm…involving a man reportedly trespassing”.

They confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
