Man, 70s, rushed to hospital after head-on crash near Chippenham

A man has been rushed to hospital after a road traffic collision near Chippenham.

Emergency services were called to reports of a head-on crash on the B4039 near Tiddleywink village at around 11.20am this morning (Thursday).

The incident involved a white Proton Jumbuck and what appears to be a blue Mitsubishi Colt.

One of the drivers, a man aged in his 70s, sustained injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

His wounds aren’t believed to be life-changing or life-threatening, Wiltshire Police confirmed.

The crossroads – Lanhill and Fowlswick Lane – were partially blocked whilst police and the ambulance service attended the scene.

No arrests have been made in connection with the crash.
