Snow falls at crime scene as police continue to investigate body discovery

Police are in day two of their complex investigation after a man died in Swindon.

As snow fell across the north of the county this afternoon, detectives were out knocking on doors in the area near to Park Farm on The Street, where the body of a man in his 50s was found.

Detectives were knocking on doors to talk to residents.

The sheltered housing complex grounds are being guarded by two Police Community Support Officers, while Wiltshire Police continue their enquires into the death.

A second scene, a bungalow also on The Street, is being guarded by a police officer.

Detective Inspector Paul Hacker said: “We are currently carrying out further enquiries to find out how this man died and to establish who he is.

“If anyone has any information in relation to this or heard or saw anything suspicious in the Locksgreen Crescent/The Street area last night or first thing this morning please contact Swindon CID on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
