Lacock man pleads guilty to having collection of child abuse images

A Lacock man has pleaded guilty to having a collection of child abuse images.

Johan Sonesson appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (13 December).

The 40-year-old admitted possessing 123 still and moving indecent images of children – including 47 categorised as the most serious, involving penetration.

The defendant, of Corsham Road, also admitted possessing a prohibited image of a child and eight extreme pornographic images involving sexual activity with a live animal.

The case was sent to Swindon Crown Court for sentencing on 12 January 2024.

Sonesson was released on unconditional bail and must register as a sex offender within 72 hours.
