Police hunt Swindon man, 68, ‘on the run’ after sex assault conviction

Police are hunting a man believed to be on the run after being convicted of a sex assault.

El Hassane Boukherbani failed to attend his trial at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 23 November.

The trial went ahead in his absence – and he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman.

The 68-year-old, of Cranmore Avenue, Park South, is now wanted by police – who are actively seeking him with a warrant for this arrest.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “If you see him call us immediately on 999, providing us with a description of what he is wearing, anything he is carrying and his direction of travel.

“If you have information which could assist with our enquiries then please call our non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
