Arrest warrant issued for man, 43, accused of causing serious crash

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of causing a serious crash.

John Lynch faces four charges, including two counts of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving, failing to stop after a road accident and failing to report an accident.

The 43-year-old, of Croft Road, Swindon, and with links to Calne, failed to attend his first hearing at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 28 November. Magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest without bail.

Proceedings follow a road traffic collision in Bincknoll Lane, in Royal Wootton Bassett, at around 7pm on 5 September this year.

Two vehicles impacted head-on, with the occupants of a Kia Picanto and the passenger of a blue Ford Fiesta sustained injuries. The Ford driver fled the scene on foot.
