Driver who missed motorway services rolls car on M4 after ‘dozing off at the wheel’

A driver has diced with death this afternoon, after falling asleep at the wheel on the M4.

The sleepy motorist rolled their car on the westbound stretch between Membury Services and junction 15 (Swindon) at around 3pm today, Sunday 11 February.

A Tri-force Armed Response Unit attended the scene, alongside South Western Ambulance Service but luckily, the driver managed to crawl from the wreckage with no injuries.

A police spokesperson tweeted: “Tiredness can kill, take a break, don’t drive whilst tired.”
