A Chippenham auctioneer and father-of-two has been jailed for child sex offences.
At Swindon Crown Court on Wednesday (27 September), Richard Edmonds was found guilty of five counts of sexual activity with a female child.
The married 46-year-old, of Colerne, ran Richard Edmonds Auctions – an auction house specialising in vintage and classic cars and motorcycles.
He denied the charges, but was convicted by a jury following a trial.
He was jailed for eight years and ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
Victims of sexual crimes have the right to lifelong anonymity. It is an imprisonable criminal offence to share any piece of information that could lead to their identification.
