Teenage motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following B4040 crash

A teenage motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital following a crash on the B4040.

Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision on Chelworth Crossroads, near Cricklade, at around 4.30pm yesterday (Monday, 18 September).

A car and a motorbike were involved in that incident, which saw Wiltshire Air Ambulance was tasked alongside local ambulance crews and police.

The biker, an 18-year-old man, was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that no arrests were made in connection with the crash.
