Date of Salisbury murder victim’s ‘open’ funeral confirmed by family

The date of the Salisbury murder victim’s ‘open’ funeral has been confirmed by his family.

Tsvetomir Genov, known as TG to loved ones, died in an attack in Gainsborough Close in August – and will be laid to rest at St Michael’s Church on Saturday 16 September at 11am.

In a notice, his family wrote: “Passed away tragically on 22nd of August 2023 aged 20 years. Beloved Son of Antoniya and Deyan, Brother to Mihail and Daniel and father to little boy Freddie.

“Tsvetomir was taken from us too soon. He was out much loved firstborn son, brother, father and friend and will be greatly missed by all and will never be forgotten.

“Funeral service to take place at St Michael’s Church, Salisbury on Saturday 16th September 2023 at 11am.

“Family flowers only, but donations can be made in Tsvetomir’s memory and will be distributed equally to Great Ormond Street Hospital and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.”

It’s understood the funeral will be open, meaning anybody who wishes to pay their respects can attend the service.
