Boy airlifted after crash ‘involving motorbike and bicycle’ in Swindon

A boy has been airlifted to hospital after a road traffic collision in Swindon.

Emergency service were called to a crash in Cricklade Road, at the junction with Groundwell Industrial Estate, at around 1.30pm this afternoon (Friday).

It’s understood to the incident involved a motorbike and a bicycle – with the cyclist reportedly having sustained serious injuries.

The cyclist, believed to be young boy, was flown to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The major route – including Arkwright Road – was closed by police as the crash was dealt with.
