Air ambulance medics treat young man following Swindon bike crash

Air ambulance medics treated a teenage boy following a bike crash in Swindon.

Emergency services were called to Cricklade Road, at Clive Parade, after a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle at about 8pm yesterday (Tuesday 1 August).

It’s understood the rider struck the nearside of a grey BMW 1 Series – which appears to have been turning into a car park.

The 18-year-old was thrown onto the pavement, where he was treated by local ambulance crews and Wiltshire Air Ambulance medics.

He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries aren’t thought to be life-changing or life-threatening

Wiltshire Police confirmed that no arrests have been made. It’s believed the driver of the car remained at the scene.
