Knife found as police attend ‘fight involving two women’ in Swindon

A knife was found when police were called to a disorder breaking out in Swindon.

Officers responded to the incident in Thornford Drive at around 4.30am this morning (Saturday).

A woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Another woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested on suspicion of affray. Both remain in custody.

They each suffered minor injuries in the ‘fight’ and nobody else is believed to be involved.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that officers located a kitchen knife at the scene – which was seized. An investigation is ongoing into the incident and the potential use of a blade.
